About me
Distinguished singer and musician Pipp Gillette lives and works on the family ranch near Lovelady, Texas, where his grandfather raised cattle and cotton. His lifelong interest in western history and music was fostered as a kid through the stories told to him by his grandfather and his parents’ records with songs by the likes of Cisco Houston, Hermes Nye, Carl Sandburg, Woody Guthrie, and Lead Belly. Pipp plays traditional cowboy music on guitar, banjo, harmonica, and bones. Lloyd Wright, a fourth-generation Texan, multi-instrumentalist, and champion dulcimer player, was introduced to old-time string music when he was young. Lloyd and his family run two music festivals in East Texas and perform old-time and country gospel together regularly. A long-standing admiration of the Gillette Brothers eventually led Lloyd to join forces with Pipp.
