About me
Kent Reeves is a rangeland ecologist, packer, cowboy, and nomad based in California. He is the co-founder of The Soil Carbon Coalition’s Rancher-to-Rancher Network, an organization that guides land stewards on listening to the land and to one another. Kent has been a featured poet and conservation speaker at the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering four times. His writing and photography has appeared in numerous books, publications, and online platforms. Notably, he co-authored Between Earth and Sky: Poets of the Cowboy West, which won a Western Heritage Award. Kent is currently finishing his second book, Where Mules Wear Diamonds: Packers of the Sierra Nevada.
