Founded in the late 1950s, Elko County CattleWomen is dedicated to enhancing demand for beef while satisfying consumer needs. Their mission is to promote a positive perception of the cattle industry. The organization actively engages with the community by hosting a variety of events and fundraisers throughout the year. The CattleWomen collaborate with local schools to educate students about the importance of agriculture and beef production through initiatives such as Ag in the Classroom. Additionally, they support local youth in their agricultural pursuits by offering scholarships and providing Beef for Seniors at all senior centers for their holiday dinners.
